Crystal Hill and Peter Orphanos are longtime Darien residents, dedicated community volunteers, and passionate advocates for Darien Public Schools. With decades of combined leadership and public service experience, they are prepared to bring their deep understanding of our schools and their commitment to thoughtful, collaborative leadership to the Darien Board of Education from the start.

Effective leadership starts with experience. We are prepared to bring informed, collaborative leadership to the Board from day one, built on years of meaningful leadership and service in the Darien community and a deep understanding of our schools and the responsibilities of the Board of Education.
We believe budgets should reflect students' needs and district priorities, not predetermined spending targets. We support responsible stewardship of taxpayer dollars while making thoughtful investments that strengthen our schools and help maintain strong property values
We support a balanced, purposeful approach that reduces unnecessary screen time while ensuring technology is used intentionally to enhance learning, support teachers, and prepare students with the digital literacy skills they need for college, careers, and everyday life.
We believe our curriculum should be transparent and accessible to families. We support established district policies that provide parents with a meaningful process to raise concerns while ensuring schools remain focused on teaching and learning and curriculum decisions are guided by district policy.
